Introducing The Amerex Group at Interschutz

Amerex Group

From 8 to 13 June this year, the Hannover Exhibition Center, the world's biggest tradeshow complex, is hosting INTERSCHUTZ, the show for all things innovative and ingenious that the world has to offer in the way of technology, services and ideas for the rescue, fire prevention, disaster relief, safety & security sectors. There will be a record 1,400 exhibitors from 49 nations exhibiting on an unprecedented 100,000 square meters (over 1 million sq. ft.) of display space. One of those exhibitors will be The Amerex Group.

Industries around the world are changing faster than ever before. Advances in technology, new manufacturing processes, environmental issues, stricter regulations and improved safety standards pose greater demand for smarter, more innovative approaches in fire suppression.

This is why Amerex, Solberg and Janus Fire Systems — three powerhouses in fire suppression technology — have joined forces. Not as one company. But as an alliance of independent companies with a singular purpose: revolutionize the course of fire suppression technology with safer, more effective and more sustainable solutions. As an alliance, these industry experts are pooling their knowledge and resources to develop complete fire suppression solutions for forward-thinking companies around the world. Because meeting today's industry standards just isn't good enough.

Come visit us at Hall 13, Stand D02 and see firsthand our innovative fire solutions.

Amerex Fire International Ltd supply fire suppression for A.W. Jenkinson's 10 new wheel loaders

A.W. Jenkinson have placed an order for a new fleet of Volvo loading shovels. The seven Volvo L120Hs, two L90Hs and a larger L150H unit are part of a machine replacement programme and represent an increment to the company’s equipment fleet to be able to handle a significant increase in output and production.

The new machines will be equipped with 9.5 cubic metre, 7.0 cubic metre and 11.0 metre hi-tip buckets, respectively, for loading shredded wood, fines and dust into high sided bulkers. The loading shovels will also benefit from additional optional equipment, such as reversible fans, fire suppression and autolube systems. There is also upgraded brake cooling on the L120 and L150 H models, while heavy-duty L5 tyres have been specified to reduce the likelihood of tyre punctures on site.

‘We have operated Volvo loading shovels at most of our facilities for many years, with the machines clocking up impressive hours of service so we know they are reliable and productive,’ commented Robert Jenkinson, director of A.W. Jenkinson. ‘We are particularly pleased to welcome the new Tier IV loading shovels back into the fleet with the latest engine emission technology and energy-saving features.’

One of the new Volvo wheel loaders, the first of the seven L120Hs on order, has already gone to work for the company at its Woodwaste site, in Hespin Wood, north of Carlisle. Replacing a Volvo L120 loading shovel, the machine is ideally sized for the site and carries out duties such as loading hi-sided bulkers with shredded wood for biomass and handling incoming material – waste wood for shredding and green waste for composting, shredding and processing.

Amerex proud to be the only company to achieve 100% perfect pass!

Amerex attended the FIVE conference in Berlin and participated in the seminars and workshops. Amerex added our years of expertise in bus suppression to further the group's knowledge and understanding of the risks and issues surrounding these types of fires.

Amerex then went on to demonstrate the depth of technical knowhow required to successfully tackle every fire test scenario and achieve a perfect 100% score.

P

SP Technical Research Institute of Sweden (SP) launched a project in 2005 with the objective to create a safer environment for passengers and bus drivers worldwide. The result is the new certification system: P-mark SPCR 183 (SP Certification rules No 183).

P-mark is the new certification system for fire suppression systems in engine compartments of buses and coaches. To obtain, the fire suppression system must fulfill the requirements in SP method 4912.  In addition all system components included in the full suppression system such as nozzles, pressure cylinders, piping, detectors, electronic components, control panels, will be tested for harsh environments, EMC, change in temperature, corrosion, vibration, humidity extremes etc.

Top Safety Accreditation for Amerex Fire International Ltd

Safecontractor Roundel R

Amerex Fire International Ltd has been awarded accreditation from Safecontractor for its commitment to achieving excellence in health and safety.

Safecontractor is a leading third party accreditation scheme which recognises very high standards in health and safety management amongst UK contractors.

Safecontractor accreditation will enhance the company’s ability to attract new contracts and its commitment to safety will be viewed positively by its insurers when the company liability policy is up for renewal.

John Kinge, technical director of Safecontractor said, "Major organisations simply cannot afford to run the risk of employing contractors who are not able to prove that they have sound health and safety policies in place."

"More companies need to understand the importance of adopting good risk management in the way that Amerex Fire International Ltd has done. The firm’s high standard has set an example which hopefully will be followed by other companies within the sector”

Under the Safecontractor scheme, businesses undergo a vetting process which examines health and safety procedures and their track record for safe practice. Those companies meeting the high standard are included on a database, which is accessible to registered users only via a website.

This year Amerex provided youth coaches within Whitchurch Hockey Club with All Weather coats, and also a set of playing shirts for the children. Amerex extended its support to help coordinate an end of season Awards Evening supplying over 140 children with goodies bags and also supplying each age group with Player of Year,  Most Improved and Coaches choice trophies.  The event was enjoyed by all and feedback from both children and parents was very positive with one very sporting family parent saying ‘it was best awards event he had attended’.   Amerex helped Whitchurch Hockey Club acknowledge all the efforts of all the children who represented the Club this season, not just the trophy winners.  This included ages 7 to 15, girls and boys, beginners to players currently playing at youth International level for Wales.  Lovely way to finish a successful season.

October 2012

The British Touring Car Championship is one of the hardest racing series in the world. Many top class teams have multiple times winning champions behind the wheel of their highly developed and superfast cars. Young teams trying to forge themselves in such a public almost gladiatorial arena can often end in tears and big repair bills. Putting a budget together for an entire 30 race season can be a real challenge for many teams.

So when Rob Austin Racing started showing signs of race winning pace in the awesome Audi A4, but struggling with their budget, Amerex Fire International were excited to get involved and help team RAR complete the 2012 season.
